The Cuban-American singer is famous as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony. Lauren proved her talent in the talent show The X Factor in 2012, as a result, she got in the team alongside Camila Cabello, Normani, and three others.

Born on June 27, 1996, Lauren Michelle Jauregui is the daughter of Michael Jauregui and Clara Morgado. Her parents moved to the States during a time of political instability and the would-be star was born in Miami, Florida.

Singing and practicing several forms of arts from a very young age, Lauren joined the talent competition in 2012 where she became a part of the band, Fifth Harmony. She remained with the group for the next six years where they would create a bunch of beautiful music together.

Fifth Harmony released their first EP Better Together in 2013. It did incredibly well and peaked at number 6 on Billboard 200. The group’s first album Reflection came out in 2015. Opening at number 5 on the Billboard 200, the album sold over 1 million in both sales and streams, getting a platinum certification from RIAA. Billboard Women in Music named the group “Group of the Year” in that same year.

Lauren tried solo for the first time in 2016 when she worked with Marian Hill on the song “Back to Me”. She also collaborated on a few more pieces in that time. Around this time, the singer was getting much more traction than before.

Lauren released her solo single “Expectations” in 2018. It saw some moderate success. She also did some work on the soundtrack of the movie “Birds of Prey”.

AfterEllen’s top 100 list of the year named Lauren as the sexiest woman and British LGBT Awards named her Celebrity of the Year.
