It prefers weedy fields and floodplains. The avarage lifespan of species 3 to 6 years in the wild and the oldest known recorded case is 10 years and 5 months old. It can grow upto 11 to 14 cm in length with a wingspan of 19 to 22 cm. The avarage wieght of the species is 11 and 20 gms. It is known for its interesting colouration and on one of the beautiful types of yellowbirds, however, females are dull yellow below and olive above with two distinct wing bars. It will feed on seedheads and also eat garden vegetation and fond of beet greens. It is also listed as one of the beautiful yellow and black birds in the world.

2.American Yellow Warbler

American Yellow Warbler is a small and cute bird popular as a songbird that belongs to the family of New World warblers. As of now, 35 subspecies of yellow warblers are known and mostly seen in the regions of North, Central and South America. It prefers an altitude of 9.000 feet, howvever, the population re declining because of habitat destruction, pollution of the ground with pesticides and accidental collisions with man-made objects.It can grow upto 4.7 to 5.1 inches in length and has approximately 0.3 to 0.4 ounces of weight. Talking about the appearance, It has a golden-green plumage on the upper side of the body along with a bright yellow belly. Males are brightly coloured and has reddish-brown markings on the breast and flanks. The avarage lifespan of the bird species is 10 years in the wild.

3.Cape Weaver

Cape Weaver is a beautiful yellow colour bird popular for its nest-weaving and it is gifted from nature right from birth known as instinct behaviour. It is about 18 cm long in length and mostly seen in flocks. Talking about the appearance, the wings are blackish with yellow to green colour at the edges. Male bird species is cream colour but females ones are brown in colour. The urgent call that is produced by cape weaver is ‘chunk, chunk’a nd and sometimes also seen utter a rapid ‘a-zwitt, a-zwitt’, as well as chattering and ‘swizzling’ songs with clear notes. The bird species are endemic to South Africa and Lesotho. It feeds on fruits, nectar, grass seeds etc.

Silver-eared Mesia is a species of bird that belongs to the Timaliidae family. The bird seen in the regions of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is generally seen in high bushes mostly between 500 and 2,000 metres above sea level along with the edge of forests and jungles. The small bird can grow upto 16.5 to 18 cm in length and both the species can be distinguished by a slight sexual dimorphism where the male one has a red rump whereas the female one has an orange rump. It can be easily identified by the black cap, a kind of black moustache thanks to its feathers and silver cheek. The avarage lifespan of species is 7.8 years in the wild.

Golden Palm Weaver is a species of bird that belongs to the weaver family, Ploceidae. The bird species were mostly seen in eastern Africa especially in areas of Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Tanzania. It has been seen making a nest of thin palm leaves woven into a hollow ball. Talking about the appearance, it has a bright yellow with pale light-brown streaks on its wings. One of the beautiful types of yellow birds popular for its golden face with a thick short black beak. Also, the eyes are dark and its legs are pink. The cream-coloured woodpecker is popular for its distinct yellow plumage and beak along with dark brown wings and black tail. The male can be distinguished by the female species with its thick bright red malar stripe. It can grow upto 24 to 26 centimetres in height and weighs around 95 to 130 grams. The golden parakeet is also known as golden conure is a medium-size golden-yellow Neotropical parrot native to the region of Amazon Basin of interior northern Brazil. Talking bout the appearance, it has a bright yellow plumage and hence listed as the beautiful types of yellow birds in the world. The popularity of the bird is declining because of deforestation and flooding. It was first described by German naturalist Georg Markgraf and called it guaruba in his expedition to Dutch Brazil in 1638. The bird species is closely related to the Rose-breasted Grosbeak and Black-headed Grosbeak and found in western Mexico and Guatemala. It loves to thrive in semi-open habitat with brush and thickets and sometimes in scrubland. It feeds on seeds, fruits, and berries, as well as insects and spiders.
