Eminem also appeared as the lead in a film named “8 Mile”, a widely popular musical drama. His songs painted the pictures of simple things in an incredible style that only he could do. Mac Miller was one of the best too in the world of rap. From the young age of 15, he started performing rap. Rostrum Records picked him in 2010. In the same year, Mac released his first mixtape K.I.D.S. It was a success and gave his career a niche boost for the future. Beastie Boys was a hip-hop band formed in the late ‘80s. In the early days of rap, they were pretty famous in the US. Beasty Boys team members, Mike D, MCA, AD Rock were known faces in the hip-hop community, They toured with Madonna in 1985. Macklemore and his long-term partner Ryan Lewis worked together and tasted a lot of success. The duo went to have four Grammy awards and multiple other recognitions from different sources. Since Macklemore started working solo in 2017, almost all of his previous works and successes were in collaboration with Ryan. Their first album The Heist was a massive hit and captured second place in the Billboard 200. Macklemore’s second solo album Gemini came out in 2017, as the duo dissolved for some reason.
8. Jack Harlow
Jack Harlow is a fresh addition to the white rappers community. His first big hit came in 2024 when his single “What’s Poppin’” hit second place on Billboard Hot 100. Jack is under the umbrella of Atlantic records as he is in contract with Don Cannon and DJ Drama. He is also the co-founder of a musical collective named the Private Garden. Lil Dicky is a very interesting character — a musician, comedian, actor. He has achieved so much success in music from the very beginning of his career. Dicky released his music video “Ex-Boyfriend” which brought him the initial attention he needed, as the song garnered 1 million views within 24 hours. His debut album was Professional Rapper released in 2015, it was a moderate success. His single “Freaky Friday” in collaboration with Chris Brown made him a familiar face on the international platforms as well. Dicky released a music video in 2019 that aimed to spread global awareness, legendary actor Leonardo DeCaprio, singer Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, and many more prominent stars lent their voice for the video.

Action Bronson is a man with versatile talents, he is a rapper, chef, and TV show host. He has not one but two TV shows — The Untitled Action Bronson Show and Fuck and That’s Delicious. Like most hip-hop artists, Lil Peep too, couldn’t make amends with his addiction and became a victim of substance abuse. He died due to a drug overdose at the age of 21.
12. Mike Shinoda
Mike Shinoda is best known for co-founding Linkin Park, one of the most popular Rock bands of our time. In 1996, he formed the band XERO which went on to be Linkin Park. Mike didn’t have much of a solo career outside of Linkin Park. As the rhythm guitarist, vocalist, and pianist, he was the second most important person after Chester Bennington. After Chester committed suicide in 2017, Mike released a solo album named Post Traumatic. He expressed his emotions in the aftermath of the shocking accident. After going on hiatus for 3 years, the band made its comeback in 2024.
13. Aesop Rock
Aesop Rock was a popular star from the ‘90s and early 2000s in the hip-hop genre. He released a bunch of rock albums over the years and is still very much active today. Aesop has released a total of eight albums, with the last one Spirit World Field Guide releasing in 2024. House of Pain was a big name in the ‘90s. Having released some international successes, they become one of the most popular hip-hop groups of white singers. They released a total of three albums, House of Pain, Same as it Ever Was, Truth Crushed to Earth Shall Rise Again. Their lead Everlast left the band for a solo career and the band dismantled. However, they reunited in 2010. In 2017, the group toured in the US to celebrate their silver jubilee.
16. Rittz
If you’re not much into hip-hop, this name might sound a bit unfamiliar to you but hip-hop fans should recognize it. Rittz came to fame with the release of Yelawolf’s single “Box Chevy”. NF is a rising star in the rap game. He started his career way back in 2012 with his EP I’m Free. But success wasn’t instant for him, it took him five years and four albums to get noticed by the public and the critics. His album Perception opened on top of the Billboard 200 in 2017. Two years went by and NF came up with another chart-topping album named The Search. He released his latest mixtape Clouds in 2024. This rap gem has so far got a couple of Dove Awards, but the time isn’t too far to get to the larger stages.
19. R.A. The Rugged Man
R.A. The Rugged Man is a heck of a character. Having started rapping from a very young age, he has done a lot of things other than singing. R.A. worked as a boxing commentator, film critic, film producer, writer, etc. He started his singing career at the age of 18 but for some issues, his first album never got released. After working for several rappers, he finally released his first album in 2013, at the age of 39. The album Die, Rugged Man, Die was a moderate success. So was the next one. R.A. released his third album in 2024 All My Heroes Are Dead.
20. El-P
EL-P is one of those guys who likes to grow with other people. Not only is he an authority figure in the underground hip-hop genre, but he is also responsible for promoting singers like Aesop Rock, Mr. Lif, etc. EL-P runs a record label named Definitive Jux as well. He has released four studio albums of his own, each of them being a huge success to the listeners of underground hip-hop. His albums include Run the Jewels, Run the Jewels 2, Run the Jewels 3, and RTJ4.
